Which one?
Seeding or Sod Installation?
Seed costs less and gives you a wider choice of grass types, but it takes weeks to fill in and needs regular watering. Sod installation gives you a finished lawn the moment it is laid and is the right call for front yards, slopes where seed washes, and anywhere you need grass now. Many yards get both: sod out front, seed in the back. We will tell you which fits your yard and budget.

Grading & Leveling
Grading is not included in seeding, because not every yard needs it, but the ones that do really do. Lawn grading fixes low spots that hold water, slopes the soil away from the foundation, and gives seed or sod an even base. Lawn leveling smooths out ruts from construction, old stump holes, and settled trenches. We quote grading and leveling as a separate line so you can see exactly what it adds, and we also do it for new mulch beds.

Should I seed or sod?
Seed is cheaper and offers more grass choices but takes weeks to fill in. Sod is instant and better on slopes and front yards. We often recommend a mix.
Is grading included with seeding?
No. Grading and leveling are quoted separately because not every yard needs them. If yours does, we will show you why.
Is straw included?
Yes. Every seeding job includes straw cover to hold moisture and protect the seed, plus starter fertilizer.
How often should I water new seed or sod?
Lightly and often at first, usually daily for the first couple of weeks, then less often and deeper. We leave written instructions for your specific job.
How much does seeding or sod cost?
Seeding is $0.90 per sq ft with straw and starter fertilizer included, sod is $2.10 per sq ft installed, and grading, when needed, runs $1.25–$2.00 per sq ft. We measure on site and quote in writing before scheduling.
